HUION KAMVAS GT-191 Comparison – Artfixed

HUION KAMVAS GT-191 Comparison

HUION KAMVAS GT-191

Like many artists, I struggled to find the right digital product that was able to provide an effective platform and canvas for expression, then I found the Huion KAMVAS GT-191 drawing tablet. After using the Huion KAMVAS GT-191 for a couple of days, I was able to do several things other conventional tablets did not offer.

This drawing tablet is not just a standalone drawing tablet as one would expect, it has a pen display that allows for a more natural method of digital painting or drawing. This device is not specifically exclusive for creatives and artists; rather, it is a device for anyone who wants to express their creativity concretely and effectively. It is also very handy for graphic designers.

In general, the Huion KAMVAS GT-191 is useful for drawing and heavy-duty tasks, such as handling the appropriate illustrative construction software. This device has proven to be a powerful weapon in the hands of professional creative artists and personalized designers.

Respectively, this product and its higher spec brother, the Huion KAMVAS GT-191 V2, is meant for artists who have dedicated workstations set up for graphic design and digital sketching and artistry. The initial stime spent with setup procedures takes some getting used to, but this can be adjusted. You will be compensated for time spent using the product. Although for beginners in graphic design and digital artistry, an iPad Pro or a Samsung tablet is recommended.

Some of the key technical specifications and other specifics are provided below and are taken from the Huion company website. The deep color gamut allows for a wide range of gradations that cannot be found in most conventional design or creative devices.

Huion Kamvas GT-191 Appearance

The appearance of the GT-191 has been kept to a minimalist perspective - the only available color, according to the Huion website, is black, and weighs 3.3 kg or 7.26 pounds with the stand. There are no touch rings or press keys provided on the system, but the adjustable stand allows for 20-80 degrees of tilt and movement.

GT-191 Dimensions

The dimensions of the product are 475x298x35 mm. The video interface of the GT-191 and the V2 allow for HDMI, DVI, and VGA connections in addition to a USB port and input slot which are all located within a single location, conveniently, along with the power port, making cable management easy. This enables the user to both conveniently access key input and output ports for easy manipulation.

In addition, the minimalist approach to the product design allows the user to have unique interface experience. Correspondingly, designers with more experience using their keyboards rather than the shortcut keys provided on the device as seen in other conventional design devices will find this product easy and convenient to use.

There are many reviews of the GT-191 and the V2 from popular retail and review websites such as Amazon.com and others. Some of the excellent and diverse reviews of the GT-191 and the V2 I have found online are provided below as screenshots.

These customer reviews help to distinguish how the GT-191 and the V2 are distinct market players in a competitive design and creative environment. The reviews found on Amazon can be found here. Some reviews describe several malfunctioning components, such as the huion kamvas gt-191 pen not working, whereas others describe the benefits of using the gt-191.

Huion KAMVAS GT-191 Alternatives

Several alternatives exist to the GT-191 and the V2, including its bigger spec cousin the Huion KAMVAS 20. The KAMVAS 20 comes with all the specifications of the GT-191 V2, but the color gamut is a 120% sRGB, a step higher than the 100% sRGB color gamut of the GT-191 V2.

The KAMVAS 20 also has 16 buttons and 2 touch bars, which are not present in either the GT-191 or the GT-191 V2. In addition to these, the KAMVAS 20 comes with tilt sensitivity.

Another alternative to the KAMVAS GT-191 and the V2 is the XP-Pen Artist 22 Pro. The report rate is the same as the GT-191 V2 at 266 RPS, but the display is a larger 21.5 inch Full HD display, giving the user a bigger work space than is found in the GT-191 and the V2.

In doing a huion kamvas gt-191 vs cintiq comparison study, it is found that generally, the KAMVAS models are much cheaper while offering better performance quality compared to Wacom's cintiq models. For example, the Wacom Cintiq 16 prices in at $649.95 retail, whereas the price range of the KAMVAS GT-191 is listed from $299.00 as the base model price for the GT-191 to $314.10 for the V2 on Amazon.com.

Conclusion

I struggled to find the right digital product that was able to provide an effective platform and canvas for expression until I found the Huion KAMVAS GT-191 drawing tablet. Perspectives were difficult to view and the products always offered a basic design capacity, which I wanted to upgrade badly.

The KAMVAS GT-191 was a great solution to my artistic needs. The colors are vibrant owing to the effective huion kamvas gt-191 color calibration and the perspective allows for a 178 degree angle field of view, giving me access to perspectives I didn't know were possible in a design tablet. This is a great product for graphic designers and digital artists and I highly recommend you to check the huion kamvas gt-191 drawing tablet with hd screen 8192 pressure sensitivity - 19.5 inch - out and give it a shot.
