About – Artfixed

The Origin Story

In the Spring of 2014 a boy met a girl. He nicknamed her “Nightingale” for she struggled with insomnia. Nightingale was an artist and clearly talented in her craft. Unlike the girl, although he loved the craft, he had never taken it further from graphite sketches or hyper-realistic digital landscapes. The boy and the girl discussed many things but in particular the hardships of a working artist. It seemed that passion for the craft wasn't enough. Luckily the boy was a computer science student and although he loved art, he loved facts and numbers more. So he decided to create a website where art, business and the creative process was quantifiable and the life of a working artist made much more managable.

Artfixed is about bringing a useful new perspective to the visual arts world through science and case studies. So creative crafts-people can make good informed decisions about their careers.

People of Artfixed

Jonathan "Thatch" Thatcher

A Jack of All Trades, having studied everything from chemistry to computer science, from web development to drawing. He's not a stranger to working with his hands. He has built laboratories for universities, trade schools and rare metal factories. As a teen, he had a brief stint as a mobile human advertisement for a store so he could buy himself school supplies.  Has a certain love for graphite and the fundamentals of drawing which he practices almost every week. Now he's a full time marketing expert focusing mostly on digital sales but regards himself as primarily an insatiable autodidact. Did you know there are indicator species that show how fertile dirt is or how clean fresh water sources are?

Gabrielle "Gabby" Germano
